BRANDON NOVAK

From Baltimore, Maryland, Brandon was a professional skateboarder discovered by Tony Hawk and rose to fame on the hit MTV show Viva la Bam, and the movies Jackass. As a teen, he became addicted to heroin which lasted for 20 years. He wrote the addiction memoir, Dreamseller, and it became a best seller on Amazon. He also penned The Brandon Novak Chronicles and recently, The Streets of Baltimore. Brandon gives back by helping people into treatment celebrating 10 years clean and nearly 7 years tobacco free. 

He relates to millions of people across the country; 1 in 4 to be exact who are directly affected by addiction in their family. He travels the country as one of the most in-demand addiction keynote speakers, bringing awareness and education to high schools across the nation. Brandon Novak is a former professional skateboarder discovered by Tony Hawk who first rose to fame on MTV’s Viva La Bam and Jackass. Growing up in Baltimore in a home affected by addiction, he began using heroin as a teen, a struggle that consumed the next 20 years of his life through overdoses, homelessness, and multiple treatment attempts. After finding recovery on May 25, 2015, Brandon has remained ten years sober and eight years tobacco-free, turning his story of chaos into one of redemption and purpose. Today, he is the proud founder of seven sober-living homes known as Novak’s House and two addiction treatment centers, Redemption Addiction Treatment, that he personally helped build and develop. 

A bestselling author, speaker, and Certified Intervention Professional, Brandon uses his voice to bring hope and awareness to the realities of addiction. His memoir Dreamseller became an Amazon bestseller and inspired a documentary of the same name, followed by The Brandon Novak Chronicles and The Streets of Baltimore.
